Paul Lucraft

Paul Lucraft is the Managing Director of Paul Lucraft Associates.

Paul has extensive knowledge of the UK payments industry. He is now working as an independent business advisor.

After graduating with a degree in Economics from Queen Mary College London University, Paul trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche) in London.

He joined UDT, the finance house  (part of TSB) in 1985, became Head of Finance for TSB's credit cards business in 1991, Head of strategy consumer credit in 1993.

In 1997 Paul joined Europay (now MasterCard) initially responsible for Fraud and Risk Management he became General Manager Business Services (covering Operations, Fraud and Risk and New Techologies) from 2002 and then General Manager UK and Ireland from 2004.

Paul Lucraft was the General Manager for the UK and Ireland for MasterCard until April 2006.

Since then, Paul has established his own business in provding expert advice to the payments industry and is active in a number of related businesses.
